Tall al-Safi

Tall al-Safi stood on a mound above the plain that had been inhabited since the third millennium BC and was still inhabited in 1948, when 1,290 people lived there. The Giv'ati Brigade was ordered to take it and to expel the refugees camped around it; the order was carried out on 9–10 July 1948.
