Majdal Yaba
مَجْدَل يابا
Majdal Yaba — Majdal al-Sadiq, the Crusaders' Mirabel — stood on the western slopes of the Nablus mountains above the line of the Via Maris, seat of the Rayyan family who controlled twenty-two villages in the 1850s. The Alexandroni Brigade's Second Battalion took it from Iraqi forces on 12 July 1948, during Operation Dani. The fortress still crowns the site, and the tomb of al-Sadiq stands beside it.
