Jimzu
جِمْزُو
Jimzu — the Gimzo of II Chronicles 28:18 — stood six and a half kilometers from Ramla among cactus hedges and olive trees, 1,510 people with 1,400 dunums of their land in olives. The Yiftach Brigade occupied it on 10 July 1948 during Operation Dani; what happened to its people is not clear from the record. Only strewn stones and some crumbled walls remain.
- 1,510 residents before 1948
