Ishwa'

Ishwa' was a village of 620 people on the Bayt Jibrin road, its mosque named for the prophet Joshua. British artillery shelled it in March 1948 and the residents were evacuated; the Har'el Brigade cleared it for good on 16 July. A soccer field now covers part of the site, with the fallen roofs of houses at its edge.
