'Iraq al-Manshiyya

'Iraq al-Manshiyya, on the rolling ground where the coastal plain meets the Hebron foothills, held 2,010 people, three wells, two mosques and a shrine on the tell above it. Israeli forces failed to take it three times in 1948; it ended the war inside the Faluja pocket, and its people were intimidated into flight in the weeks after the armistice of 24 February 1949. A eucalyptus forest now covers the site.
