Dayr Aban

Dayr Aban was a village of 2,100 people on a hillside west of Jerusalem, gathered around the crossing of five roads and the al-'Umari mosque. It was the first village taken in Operation Ha-Har, on the night of 19–20 October 1948; four Israeli localities, including Beyt Shemesh, stand on its land.
