Bayt Nattif

بيت نتِّيف

Hebron districtDepopulated 1948

Bayt Nattif stood on a flat-topped ridge in the western Hebron hills, 2,150 people in 1945 living in a star of quarters around a mosque and a school. The Har'el Brigade took it in October 1948; the site is bulldozed rubble, six steel beams, and two open graves with the bones visible.
