Bayt Mahsir
بَيْت مَحْسِير
Bayt Mahsir held the ridge above Bab al-Wad, where the Jaffa–Jerusalem road begins to climb — 2,400 people in 1945, three schools, an olive press and flour mills. It took the Palmach three nights to take it in May 1948, and the village was levelled after it fell.
