Al-Tina — ‘the fig tree’ — stood on the flat southern coastal plain, twenty and a half kilometres south of Ramla. The April 1945 government figures record 750 residents and 7,001 dunums; Wikidata records 755, citing a 1987 Arabic gazetteer. The village was attacked and occupied as Operation An-Far opened around 8–9 July 1948. PalQuest records no Israeli settlement on its land, and a site description published in Khalidi's 1992 All That Remains found the village buildings effaced beside an orange grove, a road and the railway.
