Al-Qubayba
القُبَيْبَة
Al-Qubayba, ten and a half kilometers from Ramla, was a citrus village on an alluvial rise, its groves watered from artesian wells and the Rubin river, its school teaching agronomy on twelve dunums of its own. The Giv'ati Brigade took it in late May 1948; its destruction was raised at the Israeli cabinet in June. Part of the school still stands among the buildings of Ge'alya.
