Al-Qubayba
القُبَيْبَة
Al-Qubayba was a village of 1,060 people on a hilltop in the Hebron foothills, beside the mound of ancient Lachish. It was taken on 28 October 1948, the day of the massacre at al-Dawayima a short distance away. Cactus and a handful of olive trees are all that mark the site.
