Al-Masmiyya al-Saghira

A village on the southern coastal plain 42 kilometers northeast of Gaza, founded in the second half of the nineteenth century by the al-Hurani clan of neighboring al-Masmiyya al-Kabira and home to some 530 people by the British survey of 1945. It was depopulated in July 1948 during Giv'ati Brigade operations between the two truces.
