Abu Kishk
أبو كِشْك
Abu Kishk began as the seasonal camping ground of the nomadic Arab Abu Kishk and became a village of 1,900 two kilometers northwest of the al-'Awja river, its houses clustered without pattern among citrus groves watered from artesian wells. It emptied before the Mandate ended, in the flight the Irgun's kidnapping of the leaders of neighboring al-Shaykh Muwannis set off at the end of March 1948. A fenced military manufacturing complex now covers the site.
